THE RHYTHMS OF THE DIASPORA is a unique opportunity to dive deep into the rich knowledge of Brazilian rhythms with percussionist, capoeirista, and anthropologist Edgar Sereno, a Brazilian based in Barcelona. 

🪘 Edgar brings to this workshop the ancestral power of the Maracatu drums, a popular manifestation that dates back to the early 18th century in colonial Brazil, echoing through the squares, villages, and streets of the country to this day.

👥 The workshop is open to participants of all levels, although it is aimed at beginners and intermediates; professionals are also welcome! No need to have an instrument or prior musical knowledge!
